Update from afar!

ok, so i have a short moment with internet service so here's our update! As you may remember, my trusty man servant was offered a job in Luna, NM which is only a short drive from Nyn Acres. He left North Carolina to come out around July 15. The kids and i stayed to pack and sort and clean and do all those fun things that makes a move enjoyable! The big day arrived and we picked up our trusty man servant at the airport so he could help load and drive the 31+ hours to our new home. I had taken ten loads of stuff to Goodwill by this time and was ready to just get on the road! Unfortunately, i should have taken 11 loads to Goodwill! I also should have let someone with more experience go buy our trailer! so, after three days of delay due to my "great deal" trailer we did manage to leave North Carolina....we made it to Texas with no problems. About halfway between Ft. Worth and Abilene we blew all the studs on one side of the trailer wheel! Good thing i know a mechanic! ;) All delays behind us, we arrived in town about 6 a.m., short nap for the mechanic before work, but safely here! That was two months ago. It is now October, the nights are getting chilly (heck, who am i kidding....freezing), but the days are gorgeous! The kids are enjoying school, the boys anyways. We pulled The Girl out and i am homeschooling her, so far so good. We have also begun work on our tire cabin. Its original design was only as a shed for storage so we could free up one of our trailers, but we decided to expand it and make it a cabin so that we could forgo the wall tent as an abode while we build our big house. We have completed the east wall foundation after two months of weekend work. but hey, it IS hunting season...... Well folks, I've lost internet twice while typing this so the pictures will have to wait until next time i have phantom internet, and boy do i have some stories to tell you then!!

cheers, Nyn
